Elementary 黑料大事, Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

The Elementary 黑料大事 Undergraduate Program is a professional preparation program, designed to be completed in 4 years. Graduates are eligible for elementary teaching certification in the State of Maryland. The Program equips students to meet the challenges of teaching in the 21st century by preparing them to meet the needs of a diverse student body

 

Middle School Mathematics and Science, Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

The Middle School Mathematics and Science Teaching Program (an undergraduate major) is designed to prepare candidates to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and to meet the MSDE requirements for dual certification in mathematics and science grades 4-9. The program courses are closely aligned with standards set by the State of Maryland and the Association for Middle Level 黑料大事 (AMLE).

Science 黑料大事 (Terrapin Teachers), Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

Undergraduate Minor in Secondary 黑料大事

The minor in secondary education provides an opportunity for non-黑料大事 majors to enroll in a sequence of education courses that will introduce them to the teaching profession. The 15-credit minor incorporates courses in student development, issues in American public education, the importance of reading across the curriculum, and pedagogical foundations in teaching the core subjects in today's high schools. Students in the following majors/subject areas are eligible to declare the minor in secondary education: Studio Art, English, Foreign Language (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian, and Spanish), MathematicsScience (Agricultural 黑料大事, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics), and Social Studies (Geography, Government and Politics, and History). A minimum 2.5 GPA is also required to declare the minor in secondary education.
